デビュー･アルバム「ミューチュアル・フレンズ」には、フランスの人気バンド「Phoenix」のドラマー トーマス・ヘッドランドがレコーディングに参加した。
歌詞に登場するseven little numbersですが、私は電話番号だと思っています。TVや映画でご存じだと思いますが、アメリカの電話番号は555-0100のように７桁です。
因みに上記の555で始まる7桁の電話番号。一般的には実在しないと思われていますが、それは違います。
実際に存在する番号もありますが、555-0100から5550199まではフィクション用に割り当てられていて、実在しない番号なのだそうです。
つまり使える架空の番号は100個しかないということになります。
だとするとあるTVドラマの中のCEOが、他のTVドラマの犯罪者と同じ電話番号ということもありうるわけです。
